Updated: Apr 17

As wedding videographers, we understand the profound importance of capturing every precious moment on a couple's special day. We also have the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented photographers in the industry, who share the same passion for perfection. Their skillful eye, attention to detail, and ability to freeze time in a single frame make them indispensable partners in preserving memories that last a lifetime.

Having a photo and video team that work seamlessly together can totally elevate your wedding day. From coordinating shots to sharing creative insights, collaboration between videographers and photographers ensures that every angle is covered, every moment is captured, and every memory is preserved.

In this blog post, we're thrilled to share our top picks for NJ and tri-state area wedding photographers who consistently elevate the art of storytelling through their lens and why we absolutely love working alongside them!

Ashley Mac Photographs

Ashley is one of the first friends I ever made in the industry! Her and I both got our start around the same time, shot some of our first weddings together, and have been friends ever since. Based out of the Jersey Shore, her laid-back beach vibe and skilled use of natural light translates into stunning work. She's great at helping pose her couples, making you feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. She is always mindful of videography, making sure we are all working together seamlessly and delivering the best possible work for our couples.

If you're looking for not just a wedding photographer, but a wedding day BFF to fix your hair, wipe the sand off your feet, and raise the vibes on your wedding day, check out Ashley!

Forever Photography

Speaking of longtime industry friends, I met Brooklyn based Andrea and Jessica of Forever Photography on a wedding about seven years ago (what!?). After having a great first time working together, fate would have it that we ended up working another wedding together a couple months later and have stayed in touch ever since!

Andrea and Jessica's style is Brooklyn at it's best. Urban-chic, dreamy city-scapes, vintage film portraits (seriously though look at that film gallery and tell me you're not obsessed) and so much more! Don't let the city vibe fool you, they are happy to travel and will absolutely elevate your day wherever it may be. I've always felt that their photography style is a perfect compliment to my cinematography. For example, take a look at this awesome wedding we shot together at Batello in Jersey City, NJ it's a vibe:

Mike Zawadzki Photography

Mike Zawadzki and Tiffany Lindner of Mike Zawadzki Photography are absolute wedding industry rockstars. With 15 years of experience, their work has been featured just about everywhere you can imagine; World's Best Wedding Photos, Martha Stewart Weddings, and Equally Wed, just to name a few! When our paths cross on a wedding day I'm also beyond excited, because I know we're about to crush it.

"Timeless, authentic, and real" are some words that come to mind when thinking of Mike and Tiffany's work. They are masters of capturing the energy, essence, and personality of your day. Showcasing what makes you you, and leaving you with breathtaking photos that fully encapsulate your day. Don't just take my word for it, check out some of their recent work here:

Nick & Kelly Photography

Husband and wife super-team Nick and Kelly Giardina are award-winning industry vets, that will absolutely raise the vibe on your wedding day. Their styles are a perfect blend of photo-journalistic and technical talent; capturing raw emotion as it unfolds and also setting amazing scenes for perfectly captured portraits. Be prepared for a hefty amount of dad jokes and banter as they love to keep things light.

It is always a blast working with Nick & Kelly, because while we poke some fun at one another throughout the day, we always end up knocking it out of the park. Did I mention they're award-winning? They've won numerous Fearless Photography awards (you can see a couple of them below). Check out a recent sampling of some of their work to see how they are masters of capturing the moment:

Nick, Kelly, and I have amassed a ton of fun wedding day memories over the years. One particularly unique wedding that comes to mind was one we shot during the pandemic. Due to the uncertainty of the times, our couple (Kait & Mike) made the decision hold a small ceremony on their original wedding date and to postpone their full celebration five months later. The end result was our first ever five month vow renewal ceremony! They were such good spirits about the whole thing, and we had a blast documenting their journey. Check it out:

Marshall Scott Photography

Are you an adventurous, outdoorsy, fun-loving couple? If so, then Marshall of Marshall Scott Photography may just be your guy! If not, he's still your guy, because honestly, he rules.

Marshall and I met on a destination wedding in Aruba (I told you he was adventurous!) and we have been buds ever since. He's the kind of photographer that will bring the good vibes, bust a move or two on the dance-floor, make you feel like a superstar, and most importantly capture the moment like no other.

Marshall takes a stress-free, photo-journalistic approach to his weddings, that allows you to just enjoy the moment while he works his magic. He'll be your hype-man, biggest cheerleader, and by the time your reception rolls around it'll feel more like he's just another one of your close friends celebrating with you who happens to have some cameras strapped to his back. Being a talented and busy photographer is not enough for Marshall, he also is in the process of creating groundbreaking business coaching courses for photographers called Shoot and Thrive. If you're an industry pro you're going to want to save that link!
